Why go to camps ?

DHO Racing is the racing and training arm of the Downhill Only club, founded in Wengen in the Bernese Oberland in 1925. Our aim is to be the very best conduit for competent young recreational skiers into competitive skiing: to enable young people with a love of skiing fast to have fun and realise their potential and to lead them to the threshold of a ski racing career.
Skiing opens many international doors and our trainees have used skills learnt from DHO Racing all over the world. The high standard of skiing, learnt from DHO Racing, stays with our trainees all their lives, and the club is now welcoming many second-generation trainees to our camps

What is included in a DHO race camp:

Return travel if relevant. This usually applies to October and February. Christmas and Easter camps run over a longer period and trainees arrive at different times.

Full board accommodation; either in the shape of three meals in the hotel, breakfast, lunch and dinner, or, where half board, Euros or Swiss Francs cash every day to buy lunch on the mountain.

All uplift; all lift tickets to cover all the skiing terrain used whilst training.

After skiing activities, such as ski tuning, fitness, video play back from day’s training, any other ski-related activities.

House Parent There will be a dedicated houseparent at all camps who will be in charge of all domestic  matters.

What is included in the term outliers:

Trainees who come as outliers live outside the camp hotel and join the camp for on-snow training. Outliers buy their own lift-tickets but lunch is usually included.
